NATO air defense systems shot down two MiG-29 fighters in Libya

NATO air defense shot down two Russian MiG-29 fighters.

Rear Admiral Heidi Berg, deputy director of intelligence for the African command of the US armed forces, issued a statement in which he announced that two Russian MiG-29 fighters had been shot down in the skies over Libya. One of the planes was destroyed on June 29, and the second on September 7 this year.

How exactly the MiG-29 fighters were shot down, Rear Admiral Heidi Berg did not explain, however, at the same time, it is rather strange that he published a video, previously called fake, which demonstrates the usual exercises to rescue the pilot of a downed combat aircraft, which is obvious , undermines the credibility of American intelligence. Nevertheless, the first case of the loss of a MiG-29 fighter is very mysterious - information about this has not appeared anywhere else.

“The American command in Africa says that at least two MiG-29 Fulcrum fighters, possibly piloted by hidden Russian mercenaries, have crashed in Libya. Jared Szuba, an AI-Monitor correspondent at the Pentagon, tweeted that one of the planes was apparently lost on June 28, and the other was lost on September 7, 2020. This information came in a statement from Rear Admiral Heidi Berg, Director of Intelligence African Command (AFRICOM) "- сообщает "The Drive", quoting Heidi Berg's statements.

To date, only such complexes as the MiM-23 "Hawk" are located on the territory of Libya, and if the United States clearly got excited about the second downed MiG-29, the first could well have been shot down in this way.
