Turkish F-16s were fought with S-300 complexes for half an hour due to border violations.

The Turkish Air Force almost lost two (according to other sources, four - ed.) F-16 fighters, which violated Greek airspace and did not respond to inquiries. It is known about at least two entries of Turkish combat aircraft into the airspace of a neighboring state, with a prolonged exit from it, which apparently forced Greece to use Soviet-style S-300 complexes to defeat Turkish combat aircraft in the event of an escalation.

At the moment, it is known that the incident took place over the Aegean Sea, however, for what purpose Turkey decided to go for such a provocation, it is not known, nevertheless, experts draw attention to the fact that Ankara was fully aware that Athens was ready to attack Turkish military airplanes, as announced a few days earlier in Greece itself.

“F-16 fighters of the Turkish Air Force are working over the Aegean Sea in close proximity to the Greek islands. The planes are involved in provocative exercises near the islands of Rhodes and Kastelorizo ​​", - sources in "Telegram" inform.

Greece is armed with several S-300 complexes, which have been used against Turkey for the second time in the last week, although there has been no official confirmation of this data from the command of the Greek Ministry of Defense in this regard. At the moment, only other NATO member states are holding back Athens from the defeat of the Turkish F-16s, however, given only the escalation of the situation on the part of Erdogan, the Greek S-300s will be ready to remind Ankara how this may end.
