Iran for the first time commented on the “attack” on the oil tanker “RIAH”.

The day before, information appeared that the oil tanker RIAH, flying under the flag of Panama and belonging to the United Arab Emirates, was attacked and captured in the territorial waters of Iran (according to other sources, Great Britain - approx. Red.). The current location of the vessel remained unknown, but Iran confirmed the fact that at the moment the RIAH is located in one of the ports of Iran.

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, at the moment the oil tanker “RIAH” is indeed located in one of the ports of the Islamic Republic, and it was indeed towed by a warship of the Iranian Navy. However, according to the statement, in reality there was no attack on the tanker - the crew of the marine vessel gave a distress signal, after which it was towed to the territorial waters of Iran for repairs.

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, at present the oil tanker RIAH is in the port of Kesham Island, but nothing is known about the fate of the crew of the ship, which causes a number of doubts in the Iranian Foreign Ministry statement.
