Coronavirus COVID-19 in Russia: the Russians began to monitor the mobile phones

It became known about the tracking of Russians through mobile devices.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin unexpectedly revealed a way to monitor citizens' compliance with quarantine measures and self-isolation measures. As it turned out, they began to track the movement of Russians through mobile devices and geo-targeting.

“According to the geographic targeting of mobile phones, two-thirds of older subscribers (65+) behave responsibly and do not leave their homes. But about 20% of Muscovites aged 65+ made great trips. My dears, you are at risk and your trips create a huge danger, first of all, for yourself ”- said Sergey Sobyanin.

Taking into account the statement of the Moscow Mayor, Russian citizens are actively monitored using mobile devices, while it remains unknown how legitimate such actions are, since it may involve the disclosure of confidential data.

It should be clarified that after the mayor’s statement appeared, citizens had questions about the purpose for which they were monitoring the observance of citizens ’self-isolation, since no quarantine measures were officially introduced in Moscow or other regions of the country, and, moreover, imminent introduction officially denied.
