On the evening of May 20, 2026, the Kupol Rossii (Dome of Russia) Telegram monitoring channel declared a red alert due to the threat of drone attacks in several Russian regions.

At 22:26 PM, a red alert was issued for the Smolensk and Kaluga regions. At 22:28 PM, the alert was extended to the city of Voronezh and surrounding areas of the Voronezh region. Residents are urged to observe safety precautions and seek shelter indoors when the "Attention All" signal is sounded.

Earlier in the evening of May 20, the LPR 1 monitoring channel reported a drone alert in the Dzhankoy, Krasnoperekopsk, and Razdolnensky districts of Crimea, as well as in Armyansk and Belgorod. A missile alert was issued in the Bryansk region. Over the past night, Russian air defense forces destroyed 273 Ukrainian drones over 20 regions, including the Smolensk, Kaluga, and Voronezh regions.
