“A system of guarantees must be defined not only for security, but also for guarantees of the fulfillment of agreements,” — said Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the current negotiations.

His words reflect Moscow's insistence on strict oversight of compliance with the terms of any future agreement, especially in light of recent statements by the Ukrainian side about its readiness for constructive dialogue.
