The monitoring resource "Treugolnik" reported the movement of a significant group of Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in the direction of the military airfield in Buturlinovka, Voronezh Region. According to data published on the resource's Telegram channel, a large swarm of drones was recorded in the area of Belaya Kolodez, from where they are heading to a strategically important facility.
"A large group of UAVs is moving in the direction of Buturlinovka," — the report says, indicating a potential threat to the region’s military infrastructure.
The airfield in Buturlinovka, located four kilometers from the town of the same name, is the base of the 899th Guards Assault Aviation Regiment, equipped with Su-25 aircraft. This facility was already attacked on the night of March 13, 2024. The current report of the approaching UAV indicates that Ukrainian forces are continuing to try to strike Russian military facilities.
Against the backdrop of these events, Voronezh Region Governor Alexander Gusev announced on the evening of March 14 that a drone attack alert regime had been introduced. In recent months, the Voronezh Region has repeatedly become a target for drones, which is associated with its proximity to the border and the presence of important military facilities.
