More than 16 residents of the Kursk region lost power as a result of overnight attacks by Ukrainian drones on energy facilities.
The city of Rylsk, the fifth-largest city in the region with a population of approximately 15, was left without power. The outages affected the Glushkovsky and Korenevsky districts, which are fed by the Rylskaya substation.
"Power supply was lost in more than eight settlements in Rylsk and surrounding areas," — Khinshtein wrote.
He later reported a second strike: on the evening of November 3, a drone hit a substation in the Belaya settlement of the Belovsky district.
"The fuses on the transformer blew," — the governor clarified.
Seven settlements lost electricity.
There were no casualties or injuries. Emergency crews are switching customers to backup systems.
