The Russian Foreign Minister called the response to Washington's testing of missiles banned by the INF Treaty.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, made a statement in which he emphasized the fact that Russia had already prepared appropriate measures in response to Washington testing missiles previously banned by the INF Treaty.

“Russia will develop weapons previously prohibited by the Treaty on the Elimination of Intermediate-Range and Shorter-Range Missiles (INF Treaty) in response to tests conducted by the United States. According to him, even if Russia creates such a weapon, it will not deploy it “in any region of the world” until the United States does. The Foreign Minister noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke of a mirror response to Washington’s actions. ”, - informs the Lenta edition.

It should be clarified that according to a number of data, the United States of America intends to deploy short and medium-range missiles in Romania, as well as in a number of countries in the Middle East, while, given the fact that the missiles are disguised as air defense / missile defense systems, they will be very problematic.

At the same time, experts, drawing attention to the words of Lavrov, came to the conclusion that today the development of Russian short and medium-range missiles is only just beginning.
