Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov made a tough statement regarding possible US deliveries of long-range missiles to Ukraine, stressing that Americans should take Russia's "red lines" seriously. Lavrov noted that if such weapons were transferred to Ukraine, the consequences could be unpredictable, and the US is well aware of where the lines are that cannot be crossed.
"Don't joke with our red lines. The Americans know where they are," — the head of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.
According to him, Moscow has repeatedly warned the West that arms supplies, especially those that could threaten Russia's security, are unacceptable and could provoke a serious escalation of the conflict.
The supply of long-range missiles to Ukraine is viewed by Moscow as a direct threat, since such systems can hit targets at significant distances, including the Moscow region, and in the case of the supply of long-range versions, the strike range will increase to 1 kilometers.
