Moscow has still not received an official explanation from Washington regarding Donald Trump's statements about resuming nuclear testing, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated in an interview with the Rossiya 1 television channel.

"It's unclear from Mr. Trump's statements whether he was referring to nuclear weapons carrier tests or subcritical tests. According to the minister, comments in Washington indicate that they don't have a common understanding of what the US president meant." - noted Lavrov.

He added that the Russian side had sent a request through diplomatic channels, but had not yet received a response. The minister emphasized that any steps toward nuclear testing would require a reciprocal response from Russia to maintain strategic parity.
