Lenta.ru: 5 artillery mines fired at a military airfield in the Kursk region

A military airfield in the Kursk region was fired from mortars.

The attack was carried out by a group of unidentified persons, and as a result of the attempted attack, at least five artillery mines of unknown caliber were fired. Injuries, casualties and destruction were avoided. About this writes the publication Lenta.ru.

Initially, assumptions were made that the attack was being carried out from the territory of Ukraine, however, the distance from the border to the military airfield is about 115 kilometers, which made it impossible to use mortars at such a large distance. Subsequently, it turned out that the shelling was carried out from Russian territory - the alleged direction of firing is the village of Podlesny, Kursk Region.

By the current hour, it is known that to find those who are behind the attempted attack on the Russian military airfield have not yet been successful - the latter managed to escape.

A few days ago, the governor of the Kursk region, Roman Starovoit, reported that an attempt at sabotage was suppressed at the airfield where military aviation is currently based (the airfield is temporarily closed to receive civil aircraft - ed.).
