The firefighting effort at the Ministry of Defense facility in Bolshaya Izhora continues.

Leningrad Region, June 6 — Avia.pro. In the Lomonosovsky District of the Leningrad Region, large-scale firefighting operations continue following a major fire at a Russian Ministry of Defense facility. According to regional Governor Alexander Drozdenko, the incident at the closed departmental complex occurred as a result of a massive attack by Ukrainian drones this morning.

Due to the ongoing threat and spreading smoke, emergency services evacuated more than 600 people from the designated security zone around the village of Bolshaya Izhora. Currently, 390 evacuees have been placed in specially prepared temporary accommodation centers (TACs), where they have been provided with hot meals, drinking water, and ambulances. The remaining evacuated residents have chosen to temporarily stay with close relatives in other areas.

Four local residents, including one child, sought qualified medical assistance from ambulance crews. Three of the injured were quickly provided with necessary medical care on the spot, and one was hospitalized at the district hospital for inpatient treatment. The regional governor emphasized that the temporary headquarters established is fully in control of the situation, and relevant Ministry of Defense units continue to extinguish the fires.
