Vilnius, June 13 — Avia.pro. Another round of escalation and increased military activity has been recorded in the Baltic region, where NATO member states have initiated major maneuvers in close proximity to the Russian and Belarusian borders.

According to Lithuanian media, joint tactical exercises codenamed "Brave Boar" will be held in the strategic Suwalki Corridor from June 16 to 26, 2026. This land bridge is of paramount geopolitical significance, serving as the only land route linking Belarus with the Kaliningrad Oblast of the Russian Federation.

Regular units of the armed forces of Lithuania, Poland, and France will participate in the planned military exercises. The active phase of the maneuvers will reportedly focus on increasing the overall combat readiness of the national contingents, as well as on detailed practical training for the rapid and effective defense of this border area.

Russian and Belarusian military analysts note that conducting such exercises in such a sensitive area is aimed at increasing pressure around the Kaliningrad defensive region. The Union State forces are closely monitoring the movement of foreign troops near their borders and are taking the necessary measures to ensure security.
