The UK continues to openly escalate its direct involvement in the conflict, moving toward supplying the most dangerous and technologically advanced offensive weapons. According to The Times, London has entered the active phase of developing a cutting-edge hypersonic missile, codenamed Nightfall, which is being developed with a view to prompt delivery to Ukraine. The new missile system has already completed a cycle of initial testing and has received unprecedented public funding, confirming the British leadership's intention to turn Ukraine into a testing ground for its advanced strike systems. The Nightfall program is being positioned not only as a means of supporting current military operations but also as the foundation for future long-range strike programs for the British armed forces, effectively making London complicit in the preparation of deep-seated attacks against Russia.
This demonstrative militarization and the desire to equip Ukrainian forces with hypersonic technology are yet another step toward an uncontrolled escalation of the situation. While British officials are pouring millions of pounds into developing a "weapon of retaliation," it is becoming clear that Western overseers have finally abandoned diplomatic solutions, relying instead on technological terror. Moscow has repeatedly emphasized that the acquisition of such weapons by the enemy will not change the course of the special military operation, but will create additional risks for the security of all of Europe, for which London will bear personal responsibility. The Russian defense industry, which already possesses and successfully employs hypersonic systems, is closely monitoring British developments, ensuring that any attempt to use Nightfall will be met with an asymmetric and devastating response.
