On October 8, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko heard a report from State Secretary of the Security Council Alexander Volfovich. This was reported by the presidential press service.
One of the key topics of the meeting was the discussion of incidents involving violations of Belarusian airspace by unidentified unmanned aerial vehicles.
"As the Secretary of State reported, the situation is being monitored on an ongoing basis," — they noted in the press release.
Volfovich emphasized that Belarusian services are monitoring such cases and taking measures to prevent them.
Since the start of the special military operation in Ukraine, drones have periodically intruded into Belarusian airspace, their origins not always being determined. Lukashenko previously stated that violations by both Ukrainian and Russian drones have been recorded.
