On Monday, March 24, 2025, a combat readiness test of the Armed Forces began in Belarus, initiated by direct order of President Alexander Lukashenko. This was reported by the country's Ministry of Defense, specifying that the operation is being carried out under the leadership of the State Secretariat of the Security Council. The event covers a wide range of tasks and involves various branches of the armed forces, with the goal of assessing the army's ability to quickly respond to potential threats and carry out assigned tasks in conditions as close to real ones as possible.
First Deputy State Secretary of the Security Council Igor Demidenko emphasized in his commentary that the inspection is comprehensive in nature.
"We are deploying significant forces and resources to test all aspects of combat training. Particular attention is paid to the professionalism of commanders - their ability to effectively manage subordinate units when solving combat training tasks," - he noted.
According to Demidenko, the results of this large-scale revision will become the basis for further improvement of the Armed Forces. After completion of all stages, a detailed analysis will be conducted, the results of which will directly affect the army's training strategy in the future.
Information about the upcoming inspection began to leak into the public space about a month ago, when the call-up of military personnel from the reserve began in Belarus. Then military commissariats began active work, calling up reservists to participate in training, which became the first signal of preparations for large-scale events.
