A light fighter of the fifth generation can be turned into a combat unit of the Russian aircraft carrier "Admiral Kuznetsov".

The newest Russian fifth-generation light fighter, first unveiled at the MAKS-2021 air show, can be adapted for use on the Russian aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov. Apparently, this was the main goal of the developers of this combat vehicle.

According to experts, the fighter can be upgraded to a vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. At the moment, this is not necessary, since the fighter belongs to the light class and may well be used on the deck of the Admiral Kuznetsov.

Taking into account the provided characteristics of the Russian fifth generation light fighter, this combat vehicle will have the same functionality and the same capabilities as the Su-57 fighter. At the same time, there is a possibility that the fighter may have an integrated Hunter drones control system.

It should be noted that so far there are no direct statements that the fighter will be used on the aircraft carrier, however, it was previously reported that the Su-57 will undergo modernization and can be used as a carrier-based combat aircraft.
