Maduro is ready to step down on the condition of a full amnesty from the US.

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has expressed his willingness to step down in exchange for guarantees of personal security and a comfortable life in exile. This was reported by sources close to the leader in The Atlantic.

According to them, Maduro is engaged in behind-the-scenes negotiations with Washington regarding an "orderly exit" from power. In exchange, he is demanding the removal of the $50 million reward offered by the US Department of Justice for his capture and immunity for himself and his closest associates.

"Maduro is looking for guarantees to live without problems outside Venezuela, presumably in an ally country such as Cuba or Nicaragua," — noted one of the publication’s interlocutors.

The statement was a response to pressure from the Trump administration, which is strengthening its naval presence in the Caribbean and preparing military options. Caracas and the White House have not commented on the information.
