The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, made a harsh statement condemning the actions of the Ukrainian military in the liberated village of Russkoye Porechnoye in the Kursk region. Zakharova described the incident as "atrocities that defy logical explanation" and called it further evidence of the terrorist nature of the Kyiv regime.

According to the Russian Sever group, bodies of civilians, including elderly people who had been subjected to brutal torture, were found in the basements of one of the village's houses. According to reports provided to RIA Novosti, the elderly, who had not managed to evacuate, were driven into the basement, where they were held with their hands tied, and then grenades were thrown in. These horrific details are accompanied by video footage filmed by Russian soldiers at the scene of the tragedy.

"The heartbreaking footage that appeared in the media is really difficult to comment on from a universal human point of view. These atrocities are yet another blatant statement of the terrorist and neo-Nazi nature of the Kyiv regime, which, feeling powerless in the face of defeats at the front, carried out a cannibalistic massacre of civilians," - said Zakharova.
