A large-scale forest fire broke out in the Shebekinsky urban district of the Belgorod Region, as reported by the region's governor Vyacheslav Gladkov. According to him, the fire engulfed the forest floor and deadwood, which led to serious smoke and reduced visibility on the roads.

Due to the difficult situation, traffic on the highway to Shebekino was temporarily blocked in several districts. However, as the governor noted, traffic has now resumed, although the situation in the region remains tense.

There are five fire crews working at the scene, as well as six units of equipment provided by the forestry department. Due to the scale of the fire, the governor has ordered additional equipment to be brought in to fight the fire, as well as volunteer fire brigades from neighboring areas to help put out the fire.
