A massive missile strike was inflicted on the territory of Odessa.

The attack turned out to be extremely unexpected, as a result of which there is serious damage and destruction of energy and military infrastructure. Judging by the video footage published by local residents, we are talking about cruise missiles of the X series, presumably X-101.

On the presented video frames, you can see the moments of strikes on the territory of Odessa and the Odessa region. Judging by the photographs and video footage, electric substations were hit, as well as civilian infrastructure facilities that were actively used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Despite a fairly large number of strikes, Ukrainian air defense systems managed to shoot down some of the missiles, as evidenced by the fragments of targets hit by missiles.

At the same time, there is also evidence that Ukrainian air defense systems were partially idle. This is evidenced by the launches and explosions of anti-aircraft guided missiles, although no targets are visible in the sky. This may indicate the operation of electronic countermeasures, as a result of which the air defense of Ukraine identified the so-called phantom targets.
