Mass escape of military personnel in Krasnodar

On April 18, 2025, a daring attempt to escape from a military commandant's office took place in Krasnodar, where servicemen who had voluntarily left their units, the so-called "SOCHniks", were being held. According to the Baza Telegram channel, about a hundred people who were in a specially fenced area broke the fence and broke out into the commandant's office. However, only seven managed to leave the military unit. Four of them were quickly detained by the Russian National Guard and police, but three fugitives remain at large. Sources emphasize that the fugitives were not armed, and there were no casualties or injuries during the incident. The commandant's office was immediately cordoned off by law enforcement agencies, who are continuing to search for the remaining fugitives.

The incident began in the evening, when a group of "SOCHniks" held under surveillance in an isolated sector attempted a mass escape. Having broken down the fence, they entered the commandant's office, but most were stopped before leaving. Seven people, taking advantage of the chaos, managed to escape. Law enforcement agencies quickly organized a cordon, blocking nearby streets, including 2-ya Trudovaya, and began checking transport in the area. The motives for the escape have not yet been specified, but sources suggest that the servicemen could have been dissatisfied with the conditions of detention or feared returning to duty.
