Interstate Aviation Committee accused of incompetence of the investigation SSJ-100

Participant in the investigation of the crash in «Sheremetyevo» accused of bias.

On Friday, the seventeenth of May, RIA Novosti, referring to a source close to the investigation of the crash of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ-100) at the Moscow airport «Sheremetyevo», reported that the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC), which is engaged in the investigation, may be biased.

The interlocutor of the agency believes that the IAC should not be involved in the investigation, since it conflicts with the rules of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). The reason - in 2011, IAC was engaged in SSJ-100 certification. ICAO documents stipulate that the state should ensure “the independence of the organizations conducting the investigation of accidents and incidents from other aviation organizations of the state”.

However, the MAC continues to assert that the committee is completely independent in the investigation process. There is no comment from the ICAO side.

According to a source close to the investigation of the disaster on May 100, one of the versions of the incident is the liner's design flaws. On the same day, Rosaviatsia urgently requested all the documentation related to the Sukhoi Superjet XNUMX certification tests from the IAC.

The publication of the newspaper "Kommersant" describes another version. It is told that experts restored the full picture of the disaster. At the same time, it is recognized that the maneuver of pilots before landing could be its cause. This version of the experts expressed in the pages of "Moskovsky Komsomolets", was criticized. They believe that attention should be paid to the technical problems SSJ-100, identified as a result of what happened.
