Military in Venezuela

Russian Foreign Ministry: Russia will not fight with the United States for Venezuela

Lavrov does not allow the possibility of military confrontation with the United States in Latin America

In an interview with the TV channel Zvezda, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that it would not make sense to allow such a scenario for Venusuele, in which a direct clash between Russia and the USA would occur.

At present, the minister stressed, Americans say that they have all the options in force. Lavrov has no doubt that the United States calculates the "consequences of a military adventure."

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia hopes that “The line will prevail on sitting at the negotiating table”. Such tactics adhere to Mexico, Bolivia, Uruguay and the Caribbean community.

Lavrov stressed that the President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, is ready for such negotiations, however, it is obvious that the United States has a different opinion, continuing to escalate the situation in this Latin American state.
