A fighter of the Russian Aerospace Forces interrupted the flight of an American military aircraft that tried to enter the airspace over the Chukchi Sea.

A few hours ago, an American military reconnaissance aircraft Boeing RC-135W tried to enter the airspace over the Chukchi Sea in order to conduct deep reconnaissance in Russia. To thwart the US Air Force, Russia flew its MiG-31 interceptor fighter.

According to information available to the news agency Avia.pro, an American military reconnaissance aircraft initially approached the borders of Russian airspace, apparently expecting a reaction from Russian air defense systems or the Russian Aerospace Forces, however, after no action was taken , the plane continued to go deeper into the airspace, trying to get close to the Russian borders, as a result of which a MiG-31 fighter was raised into the sky, which identified the American military aircraft and forced it to leave the area.

At the moment, it remains unknown what exactly caused the fact of reconnaissance in this area, since American military aircraft appear here, in comparison with other border regions of Russia, quite rarely.

It is reported that there was no violation of Russian borders.
