Dozens of American M136 grenade launchers, which were originally sent to arm Ukrainian troops, suddenly ended up in the hands of the Mexican drug cartel Golfo. It is reported by tTV channel Milenio Television.

According to sources, Mexican criminals purchased American weapons from the Ukrainian authorities, ensuring their resale. The Russian embassy in Mexico stated that such a transfer of weapons into the hands of drug cartels is a direct consequence of the thoughtless and uncontrolled supply of weapons by the United States to the Kyiv regime. However, direct evidence that the grenade launchers were delivered from Ukraine has not yet been presented.

The embassy statement emphasizes that Western countries do not realize and ignore the risks associated with the fact that Ukrainian corrupt officials can resell American weapons to criminal groups around the world. This creates an additional danger, as it allows criminal organizations to increase their arsenal, which can lead to an increase in their influence and security threat.

The United States has not yet commented on the information about the appearance of weapons in the Mexican drug cartels, previously supplied by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
