Moscow, June 14 — Avia.pro. A nighttime air attack by Ukrainian forces, unprecedented in its intensity and geographic scope, was successfully repelled by air defense units on duty.

According to official data from the Russian Ministry of Defense, during the night, from 20:00 to 07:00 Moscow time, air defense systems on duty intercepted and destroyed 249 Ukrainian aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehiclesAll air attack assets deployed by the enemy were promptly detected by radar stations.

The Ministry of Defense clarified that the Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted to launch coordinated strikes against 16 Russian regions simultaneously. The Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Voronezh, Astrakhan, Vladimir, Oryol, Tula, Kaluga, Rostov, Ryazan, Tver, Yaroslavl, and Kostroma regions were subjected to a massive attack.

Russian forces eliminated separate groups of kamikaze attack drones in the airspace over the Republic of Crimea and the Sea of ​​Azov. Thanks to the effective actions of anti-aircraft crews, the enemy's plans to inflict large-scale damage on infrastructure were thwarted.
