The Ministry of Defense of Belarus reported on 10 "drones" shot down over the country

The Belarusian Air Force shot down 10 "unmanned targets" over the country's territory.

The Commander of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Belarus, Major General Igor Golub, reported that the Belarusian military shot down 10 “unmanned targets” over the country's territory, which interfered with the work of the country's air defense systems. As it turned out, we are talking about unmanned aerial vehicles and balloons that were launched in the area of the main training grounds in Belarus.

“Today these units are being checked by flights of control targets. A difficult air situation has been created with the help of our aviation. We work from three stationary and two operational airfields. There are more than 10 targets in the air. Each unit provides anti-aircraft coverage for a given object. Balloons are raised as air targets at the ranges, and aviation is working on them. We analyzed the strengths and weaknesses that were revealed during the hostilities in Syria, Libya and Nagorno-Karabakh, and we are putting this experience into practice ”- said Golub.

The Commander of the Air Force of Belarus did not specify what kind of military aircraft was used to defeat "unmanned targets", however, apparently, we are talking about the Mi-24 and Mi-35 helicopters, which had previously hit a bunch of balloons on the border with Lithuania and Belarus launched from the territory of a neighboring country.

Among other things, the Commander of the Air Force of Belarus also noted that the country had decided to purchase Russian complexes S-400 and ZRPK "Pantsir-S" - the total amount of the contract should be about 1,6-2 billion dollars
