Defense Ministry reported the destruction of 9 Ukrainian drones overnight

The Russian Defense Ministry reported a nighttime drone attack on several regions of the country, including Tatarstan, the Tula and Bryansk regions, and the Black Sea. According to official information, air defense systems on duty shot down one drone over Tatarstan, and another was suppressed over the Tula region. Four drones were destroyed in the Black Sea region, and three over the Bryansk region.

In addition, the Syzran Oil Refinery (OR) in the Samara Region was attacked. The region's governor, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, reported a fire on the enterprise's territory. According to preliminary data, there are no casualties, and emergency services continue to work at the scene. A UAV attack threat was announced in the region from 02:15 to 07:05, during which time citizens were advised to observe increased security measures.

The Syzran Oil Refinery is a strategically important facility and is part of the Samara Group of Rosneft Oil Refineries. The plant was previously attacked by drones on March 16, 2024, when the strike caused a fire at an oil refining unit.

In addition to the Samara region, additional security measures have been introduced in a number of Russian regions due to the threat of attacks. In North Ossetia, a heightened threat level was declared, and the authorities called on citizens to trust only official sources of information.

Due to the threat of attacks, Rosaviatsia has temporarily suspended the arrival and departure of flights at five Russian airports - Kazan, Nizhnekamsk, Ulyanovsk, Izhevsk and Kirov - to ensure the safety of civil aircraft flights.
