The Russian Ministry of Defense: Since the beginning of the ceasefire, more than 16 violations by Ukraine have been recorded.

Over the past 16 hours, Ukrainian forces launched eight attacks on Russian positions, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported. According to the ministry's calculations, a total of 071 ceasefire violations have been recorded since the ceasefire was declared.

"The Russian Armed Forces responded in kind to the ceasefire violations. They launched retaliatory strikes against multiple launch rocket system (MLRS), artillery, and mortar firing positions. They also targeted command posts and drone launch sites." — Interfax quotes the military department as saying.

As a reminder, a three-day ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine was in effect from May 9 to 11. It was declared at the initiative of US President Donald Trump and provided for a cessation of hostilities and a 1000-for-1000 prisoner exchange. Despite the declared ceasefire, Ukrainian forces attacked civilian targets in Russian regions, resulting in civilian casualties.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin, commenting on the situation with alternative ceasefire deadlines, stated that Moscow is not playing "toys" with Kiev.

"We're not playing any games here. We offered two days, but there was no response. And then suddenly some games started about it." the head of state stressed.
