The Russian Defense Ministry reported the interception of 235 Ukrainian UAVs overnight.

SVO News, December 14, 2025, Avia.pro. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that from 23:00 PM Moscow Time on December 13 to 07:00 AM Moscow Time on December 14, 2025, air defense alert assets intercepted and destroyed 235 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles. This was stated in an official statement issued on the night of Sunday, December 14, 2025. The statement underscores the large-scale activity of Ukrainian UAVs, covering both border and internal regions of Russia.

Among the hardest-hit areas were the Bryansk Region, where 35 drones were shot down, and the Republic of Crimea, with 32 destroyed. In the Krasnodar Region, 22 UAV crashes were recorded, consistent with reports of incidents in the village of Afipsky. The Tula Region suffered 15 drone crashes, the Kaluga Region 13, and the Kursk Region 7. Slightly fewer drones were downed over the Ryazan and Rostov Regions, 4 each, while the Belgorod Region lost 3 drones. Two UAVs were destroyed over the Leningrad Region, and one each over the Smolensk, Pskov, Novgorod, and Moscow regions.

All drones were neutralized before reaching their targets, preventing potential damage and casualties. However, local residents have reported explosions and fires from debris, such as in Uryupinsk, Volgograd Oblast, highlighting the difficulty of completely eliminating the threat. Russian authorities are urging the public to take precautions and avoid debris impact zones.
