Russian Defense Ministry: 286 Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed overnight; the attack was massive.

Over the past night, from 20:00 PM on May 12 to 07:00 AM on May 13, Russian air defense alert systems intercepted and destroyed 286 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.

The drones were shot down over 14 regions and two seas:

- Central regions: Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk, Rostov, Tambov, Yaroslavl, Oryol, Tula, Kaluga, Ryazan, Astrakhan regions.

- Southern regions: Krasnodar Krai, the republics of Kalmykia and Crimea.

- Water areas: Azov and Black Seas.

There are currently no reports of casualties or damage on the ground as a result of air defense operations or falling debris from downed drones.

This nighttime attack was one of the most massive in recent memory. Earlier that day, reports of drone attacks in the Lipetsk region were received, as well as explosions near Anapa and Yaroslavl, where debris from a downed drone struck an industrial facility. Due to the threat of attacks, drone alerts were issued in several regions, including the Lipetsk and Yaroslavl regions.

As a reminder, the three-day ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine, initiated by US President Donald Trump, ended on May 11. Following its end, Ukrainian forces intensified drone attacks on Russia's border and rear regions.
