Russian Defense Ministry announced delivery of 5 Su-57 fighters in 2021

The Russian Ministry of Defense has specified the number of Su-57 fighters that will be supplied to the Russian Aerospace Forces in 2021.

A few days ago, a source of the news agency Avia.pro in the country's military-industrial complex reported that in 2021 the Russian Aerospace Forces will receive 3-4 new fifth-generation fighters, moreover, the second serial fighter may be transferred to the Russian Aerospace Forces already in late March. Nevertheless, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation clarified this figure - in 2021, 5 fifth generation fighters will enter service with the Aerospace Forces.

“Five multifunctional fighters of the fifth generation Su-57 will be handed over by the Komsomolsk-on-Amur aircraft plant to the Russian armed forces this year. The first aircraft assembled at the enterprise has already entered one of the aviation regiments of the Southern Military District. According to the Ministry of Industry of the Territory, by the end of 2024 the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation will receive 22 fighters "- said in the message of the press service of the Russian defense department.

No specific dates for the phased transfer of combat aircraft to the Russian Aerospace Forces have been named, however, apparently, the second serial "fifty-seventh" will indeed be transferred to the Russian Aerospace Forces by the end of March.

Starting from 2024, it is planned to begin mass production of Russian fifth generation fighters in connection with the implementation of a program to modernize the production of these aircraft - if by 2024 it is planned to produce on average 5-6 combat vehicles per year, then after this date, the number of such will increase to 13 pieces per year.
