The Russian Defense Ministry has reported massive ceasefire violations by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF), despite the declared ceasefire. According to the ministry, Ukrainian units have made numerous attempts to break through the state border and have carried out hundreds of shellings of Russian positions, which undermines hopes for de-escalation of the conflict. Amid diplomatic efforts by the West to establish a 30-day truce, the situation on the contact line remains extremely tense, threatening further escalation.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Ukrainian Armed Forces made four attempts to break through the border in the Kursk and Belgorod regions, and also organized 22 attacks and one reconnaissance in force in border and frontline areas. The targets of the attacks included the settlements of Tetkino in the Kursk region, Pavlovka and Budki in the Sumy region, Berezniki in the Kharkiv region, as well as a number of villages and towns in the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, including Novoyegorovka, Dzerzhinsk, Romanovka and Veseloye. According to the department, Ukrainian forces carried out 2669 shellings from barrel artillery, tanks and mortars, 46 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems and 6562 strikes by drones that dropped ammunition. The total number of ceasefire violations reached 9318, which indicates a systematic disregard for the agreements.
However, it should be noted that Ukraine did not join Russia's three-day ceasefire.
