On the night of October 21, Russian air defense assets destroyed and intercepted 55 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones, the Russian Defense Ministry press service reported. The attack affected several regions of the country and the Black Sea.
According to the agency, 34 drones were shot down over the Rostov Region, six over the Voronezh Region, three over the Krasnodar Region, three over the Lipetsk Region, and two over the Republic of Crimea. Another seven UAVs were destroyed over the Black Sea.
Earlier, explosions and falling debris were reported in Bataysk, the Rostov Region, damaging residential buildings, cars, and commercial infrastructure. Regional Governor Yuri Slyusar confirmed the evacuation of 20 people from an apartment building and confirmed there were no casualties. In the Krasnodar Region, drone hazard warnings were issued for Novorossiysk, Tuapse, and Sochi.
