A modified version of the Su-27 staged a beating of the Swedish Gripen.

The modification of the Russian Su-27 fighter turned out to be so successful, even compared to more modern combat aircraft, that it was able to destroy the Swedish Gripen fighter 11 times.

According to a number of information resources, despite the statements of the Ministry of Defense of Sweden that Saab Gripen fighters are superior to most Russian combat aircraft, it became known that during the meeting Gripen with a modified version of the Su-27 fighter, and we are talking about the option J- 11, produced in China under license, the latter during a training battle was able to gut the Swedish combat aircraft, 11 destroying it once, and at the same time, never losing an air battle.

It is noteworthy that the J-11 fighter was created on the basis of the Su-27, developed in the 80 of the last century, while the Saab Gripen is more modern than this combat aircraft for 20, which, in its essence, is comparable to the whole generation.

At the same time, if we are talking about the latest modification of the Gripen and the much more promising Russian Su-35, then, obviously, the number of air victories will change dramatically, however, it is quite obvious that the option of losing an air battle for a Russian fighter should not even be considered.
