On the evening of May 16, 2026, the Telegram monitoring channel "Radar Moscow" reported the movement of a large group of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) toward the Moscow region. According to the channel, up to 30 UAVs were traveling through the Bryansk, Kaluga, and Tula regions. The drones were reportedly transiting toward the Moscow region.
At the time of publication, the Russian Ministry of Defense and authorities in the aforementioned regions have not made any official statements regarding the new wave of attacks. Information regarding the operation of air defense systems and target interceptions is being clarified.
Earlier on May 16, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported several times that drones had been destroyed as they approached the capital.
This message is being published against the backdrop of a wave of massive attacks by Ukrainian drones on Russian regions, which has been ongoing for four days.
