The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has detained a 39-year-old resident of the Republic of Mordovia, an employee of an IT company, on suspicion of treason, according to the FSB's Public Relations Center.

According to the agency, the man "proactively established contact with an employee of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine" and, in exchange for a monetary reward, transmitted classified data on the location of critical infrastructure facilities in the region via the Telegram messenger. He also provided information on an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Mordovia, with the intent of organizing a contract killing.
