A powerful explosion occurred on the morning of October 10 at the Accurate Energetic Systems facility in the Bucksnort area, on the border of Hickman and Humphreys counties, Tennessee. The company specializes in the production of explosives for the Pentagon and the commercial sector.

Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis described the incident as "very devastating," noting that the explosion completely destroyed one of the plant's buildings. According to preliminary reports, several employees were killed, and at least 19 people are still missing.

Rescue teams that arrived at the scene were forced to move away from the epicenter due to the risk of further explosions.

"Multiple agencies are working to assess the damage and contain the fire, but are currently holding off on entering the area due to the risk of secondary detonations," Sheriff Hickman's office said.

Representatives from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation responded to the scene. The cause of the explosion is under investigation.
