A man from the Ivanovo region was kidnapped and forced to sign a contract.

In the Ivanovo region, an investigation is underway into the kidnapping of 48-year-old Andrei U., who, according to his relatives, was forced to sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense and go to the SVO. His mother, Lyudmila, reported this in an interview with "Ostorozhno Novosti."

According to her account, Andrei returned from a shift in the Moscow region in September and was drinking with friends in Kineshma on September 12. A white foreign-made car pulled up near the house, and a "man of Roma ethnicity" got out and offered to pay him 300 rubles. Andrei left with the stranger and only contacted the 36th Motorized Rifle Division in the Rostov Region on October 12.

Lyudmila noted that she couldn't understand how her son could have completed the necessary paperwork without his military ID, which she kept at home. She contacted the police and the Investigative Committee.

The Ivanovo Region military registration and enlistment office informed Lyudmila of a series of similar cases involving fraudsters.

"I was told that the Roma [the kidnapped men] marry them off. And Andrei is divorced. So they register different wives for them, and while the men are serving, they receive money. Several people were taken from Kineshma this way. The exact same complaint about the white foreign car was filed with the police, where I went.", - Andrey’s mother said.

Law enforcement officials are verifying the information, but details of the investigation are not being disclosed.
