A powerful explosion occurred at one of the largest American military bases in Syria.

A few hours ago, at a US military base deployed near the Omar oil field, located in the Syrian province of Deir ez-Zor, a powerful explosion thundered, the consequences of which could be seen from a distance of several kilometers. The US Department of Defense declined to comment on the situation in any way, however, apparently, the American military base was hit right in the middle of the day, which is very uncharacteristic.

In the photo presented, you can see a plume of smoke from the explosion that occurred a few seconds before this explosion. Judging by the lack of comments from the US military, we can really talk about an attack on an American military base, which, by the way, has already been subjected to shelling with the use of multiple launch rocket systems.

Sources say that American helicopters appeared in the area a few minutes later, however, any details remain unknown by the current hour.

It should be noted that previously there were repeated attempts to strike at the American military base in the Omar field, however, they were often carried out at night.
