Fierce fighting continues in the Kursk direction in the area of Cherkasskoye Porechnoye and Sverdlikovo. According to military analyst Yuriy Podolyaka, the situation remains tense despite significant advances by Russian forces. However, Ukrainian units continue to resist, holding several fortified points in the area.
"As much as I would like to report that Cherkasskaya Konopelka is completely under our control, this is not yet the case. The enemy has entrenched itself in several basements and, although its situation seems hopeless, this is what makes them hold out to the last," — Podolyaka noted in his daily review.
According to him, the fighting in Cherkasskoye Porechny is of a maneuverable nature, and in Sverdlikovo, Russian forces continue to push back the defenders, seeking to take control of strategically important areas.
Military sources report that in recent days, the intensity of artillery strikes and the use of unmanned aerial vehicles for reconnaissance and fire adjustment have increased on this section of the front. Both sides are actively using shelters in residential buildings and basements, which makes it difficult to finally suppress pockets of resistance.
Cherkasskoye, Porechnoye and Sverdlikovo are key points in this direction. Their control opens up opportunities for further offensive and strengthening of positions in the region. The situation here remains under close attention of military analysts and command.
Experts note that the stubborn resistance of Ukrainian troops may be due to their desire to delay the offensive and gain time to regroup. However, Russian forces continue to gradually advance forward, using the tactics of consistently pushing the enemy out of the occupied lines.
