Moscow, June 3 — Avia.pro. The total number of Ukrainian drones destroyed while approaching Moscow has risen to 17. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced the latest results of the air defense engagement in an official statement during the ongoing defense operations.
During the latest wave of air strikes, the Russian Ministry of Defense's air defense forces intercepted and destroyed eight more air targets en route to the capital. Emergency and operational service specialists immediately deployed to the impact sites of the downed aircraft fragments to deal with the aftermath. Due to the ongoing air threat, temporary restrictions have been imposed at Vnukovo and Domodedovo international airports: passenger flights are being handled and dispatched only with the approval of aviation authorities.
Air defense, radar reconnaissance, and electronic warfare units in the Moscow region continue to maintain a heightened level of alert around the clock to ensure the security of the capital's airspace.
