Residents of Sochi have discovered a sea mine on one of the beaches, which was carried ashore by the current. According to eyewitnesses, a group of men relaxing on the beach pulled the suspicious object onto land, not realizing the danger. This incident once again raises the issue of improperly planted mines on the Ukrainian coast, which now pose a threat to the entire Black Sea.

According to the data, Ukraine improperly installed sea mines off its coast at the beginning of the conflict, which led to their uncontrolled movement under the influence of currents. Now such dangerous objects are drifting throughout the region, posing a serious threat not only to shipping but also to civilians relaxing on the coast.

Experts note that mines, which were originally intended to protect Ukrainian ports and coasts, are becoming uncontrollable and are ending up in other countries in the Black Sea region.
