Tyumen Oblast, June 6 — Avia.pro. A major fire has been reported at the Tyumen Oil Refinery. The fire originated in one of the production units that is part of the refinery's purification system. Due to the nature of the facility and the potential risk of fire spread, the incident was quickly upgraded to a higher severity level.
Large numbers of regional fire and rescue units were dispatched to the scene. Emergency Ministry crews immediately began efforts to contain the flames and cool the adjacent process tanks. According to preliminary information received from emergency services, the incident may have been caused by a violation of process regulations.
There is currently no definitive information as to whether the fire was caused by an external drone attack. Regional agencies and emergency services are investigating all possible theories and determining the exact extent of damage to the plant's infrastructure. There have been no reports of personnel injuries.
