Mercenaries from Poland attacked in Ukraine

Russian troops launched missile strikes on several Ukrainian Armed Forces facilities, including military units and airfields. This was reported by the coordinator of the Mykolaiv underground, Sergei Lebedev, in an interview with RIA Novosti, noting that foreign mercenaries, probably from Poland, were among the targets hit. According to Lebedev, in the Rivne region, missiles hit a military unit located in the north of the region, where Ukrainian tank crews were stationed.

"Rivne. Several flights to the region. One of them was to a military unit in the north of the region, presumably to tank crews. Rumor has it that some of them are Poles," — Lebedev said, adding that the information comes from various sources and requires further verification.

In addition, strikes were also carried out on Ukrainian troops stationed in a recreation area near Kiev. According to Lebedev, these units were going to be sent to the Chernigov region, on the border with Belarus, for rotation or to strengthen positions.

"They say that they are going to send them to the Chernigov region, to the border with Belarus. For reinforcement or just rotation - we don't know yet," - he added.

Another target of Russian strikes, according to Lebedev, was the military airfield in Starokostiantyniv in the Khmelnytsky region. There, explosions thundered in the area of artillery depots, which caused a strong detonation. Lebedev emphasized that powerful explosions at artillery depots once again demonstrate the vulnerability of Ukrainian infrastructure facilities to Russian missile strikes.

However, it is worth noting that the information about the strikes is still questionable. According to satellite observations, no significant damage was found at the objects indicated by Lebedev.

Against the backdrop of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, strikes on important facilities such as military bases and airfields could significantly change the balance of power in the region. If confirmation of Lebedev's information is received, this would be a significant blow to the Ukrainian army, especially in the run-up to possible negotiations that were discussed earlier. Recall that earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga insisted on the need for an urgent invitation to NATO to strengthen its position against the backdrop of Russian aggression, but so far it has not been possible to reach a consensus among the Alliance members on this issue.
