Russian attack helicopter Ka-52 shot down in Ukraine.

A Russian multipurpose reconnaissance and attack helicopter Ka-52 of unknown modification was shot down while performing a combat mission in Ukraine. Information on this subject was officially confirmed by the governor of the Primorsky Territory, who reported that the rotorcraft belonged to the Chernigov 319th separate helicopter regiment (Primorsky Territory).

According to information available to the Avia.pro news agency, the Ka-52 helicopter was shot down from the ground while performing a combat mission. How exactly the Russian military helicopter was hit is not specified, however, it is important that the crew of the rotorcraft of two pilots managed to survive - for the first time in world practice, pilots ejected from the helicopter.

According to the information provided by the Governor of Primorsky Krai, we are talking about Major Roman Kobts and Captain Ivan Boldyrev, who were nominated for the title of Hero of Russia for completing a combat mission.

“Real heroism and exemplary courage was demonstrated by the crew of the Ka-52 helicopter of the Chernigov 319th separate helicopter regiment, Major Roman Kobets and Captain Ivan Boldyrev. Since the beginning of the special military operation, they have completed 25 sorties. During one of them, their helicopter was shot down by fire from the ground. The crew ejected using a jet-ejection system - for the first time in world practice. Major Kobets and Captain Boldyrev fought the nationalists on the ground until the arrival of the evacuation group. For their courage and heroism, both officers were presented with the title of Hero of Russia.- said Primorsky Territory Governor Oleg Kozhemyako.

Experts note that a successful ejection from a helicopter is indeed a landmark event, since until now, in the event of a helicopter hit, the crew actually had no chance of surviving.

To date, this is the first known loss in the ranks of the Russian Aerospace Forces since the beginning of the military special operation in Ukraine.
