Ukraine has copied the Russian Orlan-10 drone, turning it into a kamikaze drone.

Ukrainian company Global Mark LLC unveiled its new multi-role unmanned aerial vehicle, the ARES P800, at the international exhibition Space Autonomy, Drone X, AGV, and UMV Expo, held in London from September 30 to October 1, 2025. This drone attracted the attention of experts and visitors due to its similarity to the Russian Orlan-10 reconnaissance UAV, but was developed using modern Ukrainian technology. This was reported by sources associated with the event, including publications on X.

The ARES P800 is positioned as a versatile platform capable of performing both reconnaissance and one-way strike missions, making it suitable for a variety of combat scenarios. The company notes that the drone is designed for rapid launch, resistance to electronic warfare (EW), and adaptability to the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF). Photos from the exhibition highlight the aircraft's design features—a modular fuselage, a wide composite wing, and a hardpoint for optics or warheads—emphasizing its flexibility.

Global Mark representatives emphasized that the entire production cycle, including development in its own design bureau, is carried out in Ukraine. The company is expanding its ARES product line by adding FPV platforms and long-range reconnaissance UAVs, signaling ambitious plans amid growing demand for drones. This initiative aligns with trends demonstrated at the exhibition, which also featured autonomous AGV and UMV systems.

The similarity to the Orlan-10 may indicate the adaptation of proven design solutions, but with an emphasis on localized production, which distinguishes the ARES P800 from its import-dependent counterparts. Experts speculate that the drone is already being tested by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, given the intensive use of UAVs on the front lines, where Ukraine operates over 170 types of drones.
