Martial law introduced in Ukraine

In Ukraine, martial law was introduced for a period of 60 days.

In view of the events that occurred the day before in the territorial waters of Russia, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko introduced martial law on the territory of the country. According to the official document, martial law is introduced from November 26, 2018 to January 25, 2019, and if necessary, it can be further extended.

According to the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, the introduction of martial law on the territory of the country does not mean a declaration of war at all, but is aimed exclusively at creating conditions for repelling armed aggression.

According to the data available at the moment, the air defense systems of Ukraine are put on full combat readiness, the main purpose of which is to repel a possible attack from the aggressor. Moreover, according to information provided in social networks, the airspace of Ukraine is patrolled by military aviation, and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has announced the mobilization of conscripts from the reserve.

According to experts, the introduction of martial law carries certain risks for Russia, but analysts draw attention to the fact that any provocations will be immediately suppressed, including retaliatory strikes.
